The Zebra SideWinder ( # SW-5 ) is a Great Companion Tool for the Universal Zebra ECM Tester Fits most ECM Winding Section Connectors. Inexpensiver Adapters Available (sold separately).
Easy to Use - Using the Tool's 1st test , rotating the motor shaft causes the motor to generate a back-EMF voltage displayed by the phase LED's. Comparing the brightness of these LED's shows ho the three phases are working. The 2nd test checks for any shorts or grounds between any of the windings and motor frame. The three LEDs display any faults.
