Model 1000 provides one additional conductor to a thermostat or condenser cable. For instance, with a 2-wire cable it can provide “R”, “W”, plus one of “G”, “Y”, “H”, “D”, “W2”or “Y2” and with a 4-wire cable it could provide “R”, “W”, “Y”, “G”, plus any one of “C”, “D”, “W2”, “Y2” or “O/B”.
Common uses include adding manual fan control “G” to a heating system, Installing a powered thermostat that requires a common connection “C”, or upgrading to 2-stage cooling and providing “Y2” to the condenser.
